Placement of keywords
The placement of your main keywords is an important factor in search engine optimization.
In addition to the placement of your keywords in the title and meta tags, it is important that the keywords you want the page to rank high on are included in the body of the page. Search engines read your website straight up and down in your HTML code, and most importantly on a page, it is considered to be in the top of the page. To do like this may not always suit the layout and then you have to make a balanced decision.
Search engines put more emphasis on keywords, which are placed in the headlines. Headlines is defined with tags <h*> such as
<h1> for the main title,
<h2> for sub-headings,
<h3> for sub-headings to sub-headings, etc.
<h1> should contain your most important keywords, and you should only have one <h1> tag per page as it works much like the page title.
One way is to mark up important keywords in the body with boldmarking with <strong> , if they give any result is not guaranteed, but it may be worth a try.
What you should remember is that the most important thing on a website is that it is valuable and readable to the visitor, not just a bunch of keywords located anywhere, because visitors will disappear immediately, and search engines will certainly consider that part to be spam.
The title should be put much extra energy in, search engines tend to value it highly. The sooner a word is in the title all the more important it is considered also.
For example, the title “Alan’s Horse Factory – Cheap horses and horse shoes,” is worse from SEO point of view than the title “Cheap horses and horse shoes | Alan’s Horse Factory”, where you can now optimize for the keywords “cheap horses” and “horse shoes”. That “Alan’‘s Horse Factory” will come later do not have as much impact, if people are looking for it, they still find your site because there probably are no other sites with that name.
